Terms

Last updated 10 October 2026

Agreement

By using pulsejournal you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.

Age

You must be 13 or older to use pulsejournal.

Not medical advice, not a crisis service

pulsejournal is a personal tool for noticing how you feel. It doesn't diagnose, treat or give advice. If you're in danger or struggling, contact your local emergency services or see Feeling low?

Free

pulsejournal is free, with no ads and no paid features.

Your check-ins

Your check-ins are stored only in your browser, on your device. We can't see them, so we can't recover them if your browser's data is cleared or the device is lost. Export them now and then from You → Your data to keep a copy.

Fair use

Please don't misuse pulsejournal: no scraping, no reverse-engineering to extract the word list, and no attempts to get around its privacy protections.

The word list

The feeling words and their scores belong to the National Research Council Canada (NRC) and are used under its licence. They may not be copied out of pulsejournal. See Credits and licences.

No warranty

pulsejournal is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be available. Our liability is limited as far as Sri Lankan law allows.

Stopping

You can stop using pulsejournal at any time. If pulsejournal ever shuts down, we'll say so in advance and give you time to export your check-ins.

Changes

When these terms change, we'll update the date above and say what changed. Important changes are shown in the app.

Law and contact

These terms are governed by Sri Lankan law. Questions? Email hello@pulsejournal.me.
